Unlocking Norway’s offshore wind potential

About the partnership

Blåvinge brings together the perfect partners to unlock the huge potential of offshore wind for Norway’s green energy future. The long-term partnership comprises two of Norway’s largest renewable energy companies, Fred. Olsen Seawind and Hafslund, and the world’s leading offshore wind developer, Ørsted, headquartered in Denmark.

Together, we have the experience, knowledge and track record to bring the benefits of offshore wind power to Norway.

We can generate new renewable energy jobs for the transition from oil and gas, and provide a stable, sustainable supply of electricity to support the growth of Norwegian industry – all in collaboration and coexistence with local communities and others who use the sea.

Projects

We are bidding to build large-scale offshore wind projects on the Norwegian continental shelf. The projects will be able to supply green energy to Norwegian industries and households. They’ll also have the potential to supply other countries in the North Sea, contributing to Europe’s energy transition.
